I am happy to say that the first New Inhabitants album, which will be full-length, is coming along well. Most of the recording is complete, with the exception of vocals on a handful of songs. The record is expected to have 11 tracks, and though we would love to say it will be finished within the next month, it's really impossible and not very wise to say for sure, until the finished product is practically in our hands. However, I assure you that the time is drawing near. The album has been primarily recorded at Chapman Recording in Lenexa, KS with Zach Johnson as our engineer. Zach is a long time friend, a very nice guy and an excellent engineer. I personally feel that he has captured the New Inhabitants sound, more than I ever thought possible in a studio environment. It is likely that the first opportunity any of you will have to purchase your copy of the album will be at our CD release party, the date of which will be announced in the near future.
Now for the sad news...the beloved Jayne Henson has moved on to bigger and better things in New York. Jayne has been the drummer for New Inhabitants since the beginning of our existence. Though she was never big on punctuality, she made up for it with skill, motivation and being a great friend! She will be missed by the remaining New Inhabitants and our fans, I am sure.
When a decision has been made on who will replace Jayne (not that she could ever be truly replaced), we will let you know who that person is. Until then...
Thanks for reading,
Tyler (New Inhabitants)
